each side of the dvd should have a different disc-id

that's where i got confused because i'd like it to stay as one number in the collection, wouldn't each side require it's own collection number?

You would do this like a boxset... the UPC is used for the parent profile... following the boxset section of the rules.

Then you add each movie using the Disc ID to add to the profile list for each movie.. using the standard rules.

As for numbering... that is totally up to you... Some people will number the parent profile and not the child profiles. That is how I do it... as I number the releases I bought... not a number for each movie.

Others will not number the parent... but number each movie... as they prefer to have a number of movies owned.

You just go into the personalized section to number them... or not. If you don't want certain profiles numbered you just check the box that says none.
