How about fixing Disc 3 & 4?  Check my "no" comments.

As I said this is up for discussion, while the episode numbering is NOT. I disagree with you that Disc X is part of the Overview based on the layout of the back covers. But I will withdraw mine and let you remove the Ep numbers.

I am talking about the fact that the titles are bolded on the back cover, but there are no quotation marks around them in your contributions.

I have already removed episode numbers from overviews in my local db.  I'd be happy to recontribute.

Do my eyes deceive me or has Skip voted Yes to Hal's last round of contributions of Perry Mason?  Will wonders never cease.

He did what I asked of him, Ken. I have nothing against Hal or his work, no different than anyone else. I wish I could say the some of of ALL users but I can't. Some do operate from an agenda of their own inconsistent with the Rules.

There is one small thin he could do, which I noted in my comments. Hal, I know Ken says we don't have to go beyond the Look Up Tool, but that is simply short-sighted, assuming that just because two names are similar then they are same person is going to get us into a problem ultimately. That is one of the reasons I am still largely not using the Alias system, the time will come. but I am not yet prepared to expend the work needed to document that two similar names belong to the same person.

I admit to being somewhat lazy on the "credited as" thing, however, the two names in question are so clearly the same people when you look at the films and/or shows each is credited in, and especially since one name is dropping one letter from the first name, and the second is dropping two.

Personally, I don't think the lookup tool is anywhere near ready for prime time due to all of the IMDb data that we currently have in the database, but Ken says to use it, so use it I shall.

Skip was correct for this series (Perry Mason).  The episode summaries are taken directly from the back cover of the DVD ThinPaks and do not include episode numbers.

ST:TNG is another story!

Hal, currently when I do engage in a Common Name it is usually by means of a comparative screen cap, that is the easiest way. But we all have to do better or we will ultimately get bit in the butt.
