The other day I uploaded a profile for My So-Called Life: The Complete Series NS six child profiles.  After I did so, I realized that I had some minor errors in the cast list that should be corrected.  I made the corrections to my local profile, clicked on Contribute to do so.  When I realized that I would have to replace ALL my changes, not just the recent corrections, because the original contribution had not been accepted/released, I decided to wait and do it at a later time.  So, I hit CANCEL to stop the contribution process.  Now the contribution has disappeared from my list of contributions.

What happened?  When I hit CANCEL to leave the Contribution screen, did this cause my original contribution to be withdrawn?  It doesn't show at all now.

Has this happened to anyone else before?  Will I have to contribute the whole profile again?  Only one person had voted on it before I tried to fix it.

Yes, it does. It's unfortunate, but the moment you hit that "contribute" button, a pending contribution for that same profile is immediately wiped out.

It's also a nice way of temporary withdrawing a pending contribution if you want to adjust your changes before recontributing.

Thanks, guys.  I didn't understand that.  I thought I could just cancel out of the upload without affecting my original contribution.

I'll resubmit the parent profile tonight.

The next time I find myself in this situation, I'll just recopy my notes from the original submission, check all the appropriate boxes and hit SUBMIT instead of CANCEL.

I've done that myself once or twice, by accident and it kinda sucks, but like you, I just copy my original notes and check off items and Submit.
