But that is exactly what the dividers are designed are to be used for. Shorts and other movies are covered by this point in the rules:
"
Do not include artificial actor entries to act as separators between cast lists. (e.g. "--JAPANESE CAST--"), instead use the Divider feature for this."

For group roles, you have to make an empty divider to tell that the group has ended. That is not close to the credit at all

Sure it is, because group roles mostly end with a space (empty line) too.

But the divider isn't blank as it is on the screen

There is nothing in the the rules that supports using dividers for group roles (granted, nothing prohibits them either, but dividers for different cast lists are supported in the rules)
