The thing that bugs me the most is that if I do not have the release with the slip cover I also can not contribute a better scan if I wanted to.

I'm not using the beta, so I can't do it.

Build 1171 is no longer in beta (full release on October 8), so you could update your DVDP program version, if you like to.

Who says you can't? If the slip cover is reflective and the inner keepcase images are identical, you can contribute the keepcase covers provided they are a significant improvement over the existing images. If they aren't identical then just scan the keepcase and keep it local. Your images may look better but they wouldn't conform to the rules if you were to contribute them, now would they? Although, that may force someone who owns the title with the slip cover to recontribute better images .

Thanks.
Any reason I might not want to update? Only thing I can think of is if the "all fields visable - widescreen" view I have on my local now somehow doesn't exist for that. If all options are carried over to new versions then I'll install the new this weekend.

I just got Death Proof from Amazon.com today, and I noticed that mine didn't come with a slip cover.  The existing online profile says that one exists, but the cover scans don't show a slip cover.

So what's the deal, did I get hosed, or what?

Was it the Extended and Unrated: 2-Disc Special Ed. version?
I got this version on both Death Proof and Planet Terror from Amazon with slip covers.
