I have yet to see ANY title information on ANY film in the Copyright section oif the bac cover. There is ONLY one area of the back cover that in any way deals with Copyright information and that does not involve the title.

I have yet to see a possessive that has been erroneously removed.  It's not like somebody has submitted to remove Frank Miller's from Sin City...at least not that I'm aware of.  Then again, my collection isn't quite so extensive so perhaps I'm just missing all the action.

Well, since you mentioned it, let's look at that title.

Under James' interpretation of the Rules Frank Miller's is in a substantially smaller type face AND font than Sin City. So gee, maybe we should remove it.

As with any other movie the copyright section contains no title information.

The poster data section DOES have "Frank Miller's Sin City" and so does the US Copyright site.

Hmmm 2 for 2 against.

But that info is in the Poster Section not the Copyright Section Bob .

Is that what you call that area of information? I've been racking my brains trying to think of an appropriate description.
Best I ever came up with were "small print" and "film blurb"

Skip...
as I said in a post here yesterday when I talked to Ken through PM because I wanted to be sure where to get the info for voting and contributing... he told me we go by the back of the case at the bottom to see what the quotes show... if the quotes are on there... that is what we use. If not... then that is when we go to research it further.

As I said before... not my ideal solution... but it is what he decided so be it. So since it seems it says "Frank Miller's Sin City" (I don't have this one to verify) it can't be removed per the rules.

Maybe it would help if the rules included a screen grab of that area of the back cover as an example, as I have admit "copyright section" is a bit misleading.

Hal, your comments are so enlightening and (un)intelligent.

Instead of posting why don't you do some editing...FOR ONCE.

LOL, Pete, except the bottom of the case is not where the poster data is at, that IS where the Copyright data IS and I have yet to EVER see any title data in the copyright section.

I found your observation very interesting...

I noticed the unlucky wording myself, but as I "knew" what Ken meant I accepted it. Most people who posted in this thread seem to be clear that "copyright section" refers to the credit block on the back.

So, I find it interesting that you for once parse the Rules like unicus usually does...
