| Posted: | | | | Hello all. I have been collecting DVDs for a few years now, basically buying all the new releases each week and adding them to my collection. It is a pretty good mix of titles that span all genres. Most titles have been watched once and filed. All of them are in excellent, if not mint, condition.
You can view the collection here: http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/urth
I am interested in selling this collection as a lot, and I 'm not sure how to go about that. Has anybody else tried to sell their collection?
Thanks, Dave ellisd@urthgate.com |

On the other hand, if you are selling individuals, how much for the following?
The Abyss Antz: Signature Selection The Aristocats Bandits Black Beauty The Brothers Grimm Catch Me If You Can The Crow Dragonheart Grease The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Hoodwinked John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness K-PAX The Majestic The Man in the Iron Mask Meet Joe Black Mulan O Brother, Where Art Thou? Office Space The Sixth Sense There's Something About Mary Thir13en Ghosts Titanic Windtalkers |

| Posted: | | | | I wouldn't need the lot, but if you would consider parting with parts of your collection, I'd be interested in the following:
Air Force One Superbit Army of Darkness Official Bootleg Edition Atlantis Clerks II The Emperor's New Groove The Evil Dead The Evil Dead II The Lion King Metallica: Cliff 'em all Metallica: Some Kind of Monster OZ: The complete Seasons 1 - 5 Prison Break: Season 1 Sex & the City: Seasons 3 - 6 Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Tenacious D: The complete Masterworks Van Helsing - The Ultimate Collector's Edition
Please don't be put off by me living overseas, I'll either provide a mailing address in the US and have them forward it to me, or cover the additional costs.
If you're willing to make a deal, please PM me.

| Posted: | | | | I am selling the DVDs because I need to convert them into cash.
Hello all. I am interested in one of two models. I am hoping to get about $5Cdn per DVD.
I am not selling the children's titles - I will remove them.
1) As a lot, the 800 DVDs include a large number of TV/HBO Series which retail in Canada for between $50 and $100. This helps to sweeten the lot price of 800 * $5 = $4k. This price is negotiable.
2) Sold in lots of minimum 20 at $5/DVD and $20 per TV Season.
Please give me your thoughts, both as potential buyers and as unbiased advisors.
Thanks, Dave |

| Posted: | | | | I may be willing to buy a lot of 20 the weekend after this coming one.
However, it would be best to set a minimum number that you'll sell instead of a fixed lot size. Someone who would be interested in buying 14 may shy away if they're forced to buy another 6 to get that 14. |

Thanks, Dave The most you can expect is about $5 US per disc selling individually, or maybe 5 for $20. People aren't going to spend any more than that when they can go to the local store and buy from the bargain bin all day long at 2 or 3 for $10. On eBay, about the best you can expect is $1 to $1.50 per disc in bulk. If I were you, I would sell off as much as I could here in small lots or even individually, and then sell the rest on eBay. You'll have better luck there with smaller bulk lots. Oh yeah, no more than $10 for a season box set unless its a special ediition set. | | | John

| Posted: | | | | Thank you to everyone for responding. As you may notice, the collection size has decreased by more than 200 titles, selling at the rates I posted above.
If you would like to buy some of the titles at the posted prices, please send me a private message and I will get them out immediately.
Who knew that selling your beloved collection could be so much fun.
