Me, too.

I did the same thing. I like to be able to walk into the room and pick whatever I am in the mood for. I also have friends and family who borrow on a normal basis.

As do I (family mainly), but I do not allow them to borrow newly acquired items as if I want to watch those, I want them available. If, after 1 month I haven't yet watched them, I will allow the family to borrow on the strict understanding that they will be returned quickly.
Sadly, as far as borrowing is concerned, I cannot now stop that as the family would riot. I have managed to stop the friends borrowing because I had too many either not returned or returned damaged without being replaced. Fortunately I have DVDP to keep track of that side of things.
