| Posted: | | | | Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote: So again, why does CSVExport need that functionality? In fact, I am looking for a specific information, and CSVExport is the only tool that allows me to get it (with some extra treatment). As you, I think that Database Query could be more adapted for this purpose. Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote: Actually, I think it does exist in Database Query already.
Go to the Other tab, select the Watched field, then Watched Movies for the query. Pick the user and the count and run it. Then simply sort on the Last Watched date column. No, that doesn't seem to work. When I select this query, I get all movies I watched, but the Last Watched date column returns last watched by any user. So if I watched a movie , but was not the last user to watch it, the date in the column is the watching date by the other user. This is exactly what the program does when we sort the movies list by last watched. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to but in, but is what surfeur51 wants equivalent to taking the <Events> group from the XML, and filtering for Watched and the User? Seems like a simple XSLT task. The dates from that should be accurate. In addition to the DB Query, the main program needs to add "Watched Date" to the list of columns viewable in the Collections tab. Then the main program filters could also be used. (Better still - "Last Watched" should be recoded to operate on the filtered set instead of on the entire watched events set.)
@Mithi - I was trying to make a distinction between "Watched Date" and "Last Watched". But that doesn't work, so I modified my suggestions to say - redefine "Last Wtached." That would fix it all. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

It is a selectable column already. Unfortunately not for any specific user but simply the last entry, which renders it unusable if more than one user has watched events. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

So if I watched a movie , but was not the last user to watch it, the date in the column is the watching date by the other user. This is exactly what the program does when we sort the movies list by last watched. Like I said, I found and fixed a few "Watched By" related bugs yesterday. I also get what Profiler itself is doing. Just because it works the way it does doesn't mean my code needs to as well. I'm telling you, Database Query will do what you want. Maybe not today, but in the version coming. If, for example, I go to my database and run the query to show me everything I've watched at least once, the first movie to popup is 12 Angry Men. And because I've put some test data in there, the Last Watched Date is today and the Last Watched by is my friend Becky. That's basically what the main program does. First of all, I happen to find that "correct". I've watched 12 Angry Men (fulfilling the All Movies Watched By... query), I just wasn't the last person to do so. Second of all, I realize that isn't the data you're after. So now imagine that the query now returns one more column. This column is titled Last Watched By filtered user. It shows the last time the user you're filtering on watched that movie. As I understand it, this is the data you're after. If you sort by this new column, you'll should get exactly what you want. That new code isn't in the beta version I released recently. But it's in the version I'm working on now and will make the final release. I've still yet to hear a valid reason to add this to CSVExport. So at this point, my intention is to let Database Query take care of this. It's the better fit and the work is almost done. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. It will be great to have this in next version of Database Query . And I agree with you, if it works in Database Query, there is no reason to add it to CSVExport. | | | Images from movies |

It's in the next version of Database Query. It works pretty much just like I described. I think you'll like it. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Quote: Hi folks,
Can someone tell me if its possible to only export one row per title?
I'm getting several rows per DVD in my collection and also all the sub-discs when all I want are the titles.
Any help is appreciated.
Many thanks, If I remember correctly, you can export row-wise or column-wise. Row-wise you get multiple rows, one for each disc, feature, etc.
Column-wise you get one row per profile, and multiple columns for fields with multiple elements. You can choose to exclude fields, such as discs, to reduce the number of columns. BulkEdit supports only the column-wise and 2.4 formats for re-import to DVD Profiler.
I might have got the "-wise" terminology reversed, but you will figure it out, given this clue. Despite the row/column option being blanked out, I was able to just export the title and media type and although I still get profiles for discs, it's much easier to remove those lines now. Thanks! | | | www.y2neil.com Current DVD Collection size = 1660 |

| Posted: | | | | Has anyone experienced a memory error exporting an entire collection? with just choosing one field to export? I assume that its due to the size of mine since I am able to export data from each custom group I set up, just when I go to the all tab and select all, it will start then throw a memory error. it did it on windows 8.1 on 2 machines as well as windows 10 on 2 different machines. both have 8 gig ram. |

The "." will cause Excel to interpret as floating point and cause a mess. If you want to use that column, first reformat it as text. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | I have an older plugin DVDProfileLoop that can do it, if you like to tinker with scripting. I think it still works. If you try and it fails, I promise to fix it. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Note though that it's not a plugin, but a tool that uses an export file of your collection as input. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
