| Posted: | | | | I did find that for a couple of contributions that were approved in the course of May 27, which have the "Released" status and list the username and that last contribution's "Submitted" date at the top of the list of "Profile Contributors", the current profiles do not actually include those latest changes. So while they're listed as "Approved" and "Released", the actual profiles in the database right now are actually the previous version. A logical explanation for that would be that some kind of back-up has been restored, causing a batch of approved contributions from between the time of the back-up and the time of the crash to fall by the wayside. Luckily, I just had a handful of those.
Since invelos.com is back up, I have seen "second level" approvals (for entirely new profiles, contributions with "no"-votes, or profiles with new birth years) happening, but I haven't seen "first level" approvals (which, by now, I believe to be a largely automated process) yet. |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately, I did notice this as well T!M, not only that but also the Reputation system keeps failing, as some positive ratings I did give pre and post 'crash' did disappear and even after several revotes, they keep disappearing.
Well, I do find the Reputation system failing not that big of an issue, but several (new "first-level" but also "second-level") contributions from May 26th and up are still not processed or have been accepted/rejected. Even those "second-level" with "Yes" votes still are not processed. And that I don't like.
I had one submission with a "No" vote, but that one I had withdrawn myself before the 'crash', so I don't bother about that.
Indeed it looks like some restore process of the DB/server has been done but of course no mention of it on the forum by any of the staff. So it is more of just a guessing game at what went wrong and what is the current status of the DB/server and its reliability.
So my question now is if we should resubmit those first and second level submissions or do we still have to be patient that those will eventually be processed?
If we can't rely on the integrity of the DB I don't see any reason of submitting new data anymore, but I do still hope it is just a temporary 'glitch'. So I will keep submitting until it is clear there won't be any improvements in the near future. | | | DVD Profiler for iOS since: January 9, 2011 (no longer using) DVD Profiler for Android since: June 6, 2013 |
