Hi Everyone,

I just got a new laptop and loaded Invelos on it and then populated my database with my online collection.  When I did this, anyone with the same name as someone with a BY got listed under that BY year.  In addition, invalid BYs like the infamous Samuel L. Jackson one got loaded back in.

Does anyone know why this happened, and there is anything I can do to fix it other than manually?

Thanks in advance.

Did you perhaps also do a refresh from the Invelos online after you downloaded from your collection?

If so, you might have overwritten your local changes (I'm on thin ice here ...)?

Unfortunately the download process appears to work the same as accepting a new birth-year with updates. (I just downloaded to a new database and all  Samuel L. Jackson entries have a birth-year.) If you have a local backup, restoring that to a new database is preferred. Another option would be to copy all files from the "\DVD Profiler\Databases" sub-directory on the old computer to that same sub-directory on the new one.

As an aside - no custom profiles (those created by BulkEdit) downloaded to the new database.

Ouch!!!!

Sorry, guess we didn't test that thoroughly.    It was many Christmas seasons ago - I remember testing over the whole holidays, along with DJ Doena and others, a massive Profiler update. I'm pretty sure you will get them back from a local backup.
