| Posted: | | | | As you might be aware there is an issue with DVD Profiler since the release of the Windows 10 Fall 2018 Update (version 1809). It is documented in this thread in the contribution forums. To help with this issue, mediadogg has added functionality to his BulkEdit plugin. And now I've also created a plugin to be able to add DVD Disc ID profiles with their proper ID: Download link will come in the next few days! | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Actually I didn't release my version yet. Maybe not needed now, I'll have to study the video more. Yeah, looks like what would be the point.
The other functions relating to scanning a flagged set of profiles and validating the discIDs are ready for release, so I will quit work on the Add functionality. I got carried away attempting to automate based on intercepting the "not recognized" message, and it is nearly ready. I might release that part someday, as a challenge. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | How do I install this plugin? I can't get it to install and run. (Update 2/16/2021 current version of the plugin now installs and works)
Here is what I tried: 1) I downloaded the plugin. 2) I unzipped the plugin. 3) With DVDprofiler NOT running, I executed the unzipped file (run it as an administrator). 4) Started DVD profiler, I always have to run it as an administrator, I am using Windows 10. 5) I do NOT see the "Add by Disc ID" plugin in DVDprofiler. (Update 2/16/2021 current version of the plugin now installs and works) | | | Last edited: by zappman |

| Posted: | | | | Thank You Karsten The Plugin now installs and works. Here is a tip for other users of the plugin: The "Add by DVD Disc Id Plugin" does not let you select an "Alternate Disc ID profile". I had some DVDs that had 5 movies on 1 disc, that I was trying to add to my database, one profile for each movie. So, I added the profile using the "Add by DVD Disc Id Plugin", then used the "Change UPC / Locality" function of DVD Profiler to select the "Alternate Disc ID profile" I was trying to add. I repeated the steps for each of the movies I was trying to add. | | | Last edited: by zappman |

| Posted: | | | | Congratulations on a job well done. Your new plugin works! Just for completeness, did you also think about the "Scan DVD-ROM drive" on Windows 10 not finding the new Disc-ID profile in the local DISCS.DAT file? | | | Last edited: by ObiKen |
