Another example: White by Krzysztof Kieslowski. The majority of the dialogue is in Polish (about 75% at a rough guess), and yet the audio track is listed as "French". This is on the DVD box itself, so it would be against the rules to list it in DVDPro as anything else, yet how does it make sense to say that this is "French" audio?

And when I get my copy back I need to check the credits to see if the current "original title" (in French, like the other parts of the trilogy) is correct, or if it should be in Polish. But that's another matter.

What does the DVD player tell you?

There will always be shades of grey, there's nothing we can do about that.

The "correct" audio setting for the original audio of "Blanc" would be "Other" at the moment (as any other multi language audio track) no matter what's written on the cover.

Since 3.5 is around the corner, I'd like to bump up this thread hoping that the languages in this thread get added to the list of audio tracks and subtitles. I think that this post has a more or less complete list of wished languages.

Additionally the language "mixed languages" should be added for those cases when there is not a single main language in the original audio (e.g. Jim Jarmusch's "Night on Earth", Cédric Klapisch's "L' Auberge espagnole", and Krzysztof Kieslowski's "Bialy/Blanc/White"). Of course multiple languages per track would even be better. But that would be a bigger program change for a small number of films.

Please consider including Portuguese-BR (Brasillian) and Portuguese-PT (Iberian) in the subtitle selection as those 2 languages differ considerably and it's becoming very common that RA BD discs include PT-BR and European releases PT-PT...
Some Blu-rays even include both languages so please take that into consideration for 3.5.

Let's hope this feature is coming in 4.0...

Just a technical correction: the language added is Afrikaans.  It one of the around 2,000 African languages.

(On the side, almost 60% of African languages are under threat of extinction.  Africa is the most language diverse continent in the world, but unfortunately many governments do not realise the importance of preserving the indigenous languages. But this is not limited to Africa; some estimates say that up to 90% of the 6,000 languages of the world are endangered.)
