I judge the data, I don't judge the user, the diffrenec is that I also will vote yes when a concern gets addressed. I vote yes for Tim when i can, unfortubnately it's not often enough and he does not address the concerns. Your behavior is beyond contempt and not even really worthy of an answer.
Skip Actually you've not returned to vote on contributions where I have made adjustments either. But I didn't make a stink about it because who really cares if someone votes neutral? That should really be the least of our concerns. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | BTW, James< I ahve for many months said that I spot check Profiles I have too many titles to sit and vote for easch and every title that I have up for review. I deal based on the people in my trusted user list, I won't explain the parameters involved, but I do have a list> I also look for specific types of profiles which are likely to be erroneous. I will only say that in your case James, yes I review each and every Contribution you make, because I cannot trust your work, were it up to me far less of your work would get through to the data base than does. With all due respect James, your error introduction rate is very high.
And for your benefit, James, you know full well that I fix errors that are pointed out. I don't want to overlook any valid comment yes no or maybe. The best way to assure that right now is via PM, if you are unwilling to drop me a note and your concern is missed then you have only yourself to blame. I discovered a comment that was outstanding the other day, from a WEEK ago, it was a great comment and I thanked the user for it and intend to use it, but I almost overlooked it.

| Posted: | | | | BTW, James, if it has ever happened with me I suspect it is a rare, I don't work that way.
However, this issue with richie and yourself is somthing that i have been watching for weeks on each and evry chance you both get. You iced it for me, when you got notes edited to fix a problem, it did not take a new Contribution just edited notes, and you changed your vote to neutral. I then realized that you were voting from an agenda, what it is, I don't and i don't care.

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Taro: Quote: UPC: XXX what is in the database now: XXX what is should be (corrected version) : XXX )? Not Skips and not an error in the Database but it nearly was: 9 Songs German release 4-030521-423190 UK release 5-0600345-72855 The German profile was given as a source for a recent (Declined) UK submission. The credits there are very different from the UK release. Only because this was checked did it not slip in. There is no way the contributor could check as they didn't own the disk. I hate to say it but i support Skip here. I know we can't prevent anyone who doesn't own the disk working around the system but at least the rules could forbid it except for pre-releases as otherwise one bad profile could propogate. | | | Last edited: by Graveworm |

Skip You moved the media company out of the studios and added a new studio without listing a source for the new studio. After you corrected it, I voted neutral as I do on all of your contributions. No agenda. Just what I've stated, that I will not condone your routine method of attacking 'no' voters in your contribution notes. How can it be an agenda if I vote neutral? That has no effect on you either way. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Kathy: Quote: I am also going through my collection alphabetically trying to make the database match the rules. I would say approximately 1 in 4 has mistakes.
Even while doing my best to submit things correctly, I have not done so (the damn BY gets me ). I check the no votes and my pms and carefully reread the relevant rules. If I have made a mistake I am happy to change it. If I feel that I am correct I usually pm the person and explain my rationale, if it isn't written in the contribution note, and let the screeners decide.
I believe that people who take the time to contribute to the database are doing so in a conscientious way. They are following the rules and submitting data based on those rules. If there is difference in opinion it should be done in a polite and respectful manner.
It is only in this way that more contributions will be submitted and the database can become better than it is. If care is taken and the rules followed, the database will eventually become better. Please note I said better and not perfect...there will never be perfection. Whoa, I would never have guessed that as many as 3 in 4 (or 2 in 3 under Skip's counting) were actually proper. That seems like awfully good compliance to me, considering the history of the guidelines/rules and the various iterations of the program over time and the vast quantity of IMDB stuff that was once in the database. I actually think this counts as successful. Never thought of myself as a glass half full kind of guy, but this merits it. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Taro: Quote: Skip, could you perhaps give some concrete examples of those errors you have found? Quoting Jubal: Quote: No, at this time I am not going to go into detail But of course you're not - no surprise there. Because you've actually got nothing to "go into detail" about: all you've found is some errors in your own database. But hey: blowing unsubstantiated smoke is so much more effective, isn't it? |

I don't think so. But where Tim, I have no doubt that you would probably jusrt call your own database the Giold standard and star making changes just on that basis alone, I will not, nor will I make specific charges until i have proof, right now all I can do i allege that there are errors that you are introducing. As I have told you before, the day will come when my DVDs are no longer in storage and I can begin auditing again, then they will no longer be allegations they will be proven and i will point at the source of the problem. The problem is known and you can't deny it. What you can do is continue screwing up the database, and it is clear that is your intent.
We have a poll where the vast majority of users says for you to STOP, Tim. Yet you continue, because you can hide behind Ken, and I really hope that Ken will revisit that and put an end to your deliberate introduction of errors into the database. Even if it is only ONE such error then what you are doing is NOT worth it, but we know it is more than One, and my indications are that it is many more than we are aware of.
All you keep proving to me Tim is that you believe that you are bigger than the community and only you can determine what is best for them. Despite the Community vocally saying otherwise.

| Posted: | | | | You guys are going around in circles and repeating yourselves over and over and over again. Skip: I would suggest holding off until you can prove it. Without proof, it's all speculation. Speculation is hard to take action against. ETA: | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
