Most users are intelligent enough to decide by using the proper sources like the CLT or the Credits if my changes or additions are correct.

I have the US release of it Martin, that does not excuuse your lousy notes nor your utter failure to provide documentation for it. I am sorry, your word isn't good enough, provide adequate documentation, not just notes which are short because you have no desire tyo take the time to do the work.

Assuming your data is CORRECT, Martin. With notes as sloppy as yours how are we to judge the next Contribution that makes changes to your data, but does have good solid notes and may in fact be erroneous.

Let's say for example someone comes along and provides Documentation with a different SRP, or that one of your Common names are wrong and belong to some other actor, how are we to say NO to it without documentation from you to compare it to.

I just love the way people like you, Martin, instead of dealing with your own shortfall, try to make it about something or somebody else. Provide better notes, with documentation, get a YES.

The explantion for the SRP has already been given in a previous note of the profile but yet it seem to got lost in the database somehow and returned to zero, the common name addition "Steve Abrums [Stephen Abrums]: Make-up Artist" can be easily checked with the CLT.

I agree with Skip here. The rules do say to back up changes. If you're making a change using credited as, then you need to include details for it. Just because it's valid when you looked, doesn't mean it will be when people go to check or in 6 months. For that reason, we need to have detailed notes supporting changes.

I'm not going to explain the obvious. I expect people to be smart not stupid. If anything will change we will always be able to check it with the CLT again.

It's not for users to check, martin, it is for YOU to check and provide the documentation, if you refuse to do so then you should not Contribute and any such Contributions should be DECLINED regardles of the vote. Your teachers in school would have givenb you an F had written a term paper and failed to pprovide a documented bibliography to support your work, and saying that i was depending on the intelligence of the other students in the class to do that research is simply bizarre, Marrtin. If you are not willing to put forth the work then don't expect anything beyond NO votes, and the majority should NEVER rules the day on any of your Contributions that contain No votes based on that, were I one of ken's screeners i woulkd summarily decline that Contrinbution based on the nptes and no documentation, especially if I read your posts here on the matter.

You claim that you "expect people to be smart not stupid."

What I see is a user that is too lazy to do the work and does not want to invest his time to provide proper notes and documentation. That is not, in my view, of benefit to the Community, it will ultimately degrade the datanbase.

In a similar case, there's currently a contribution up for changing

Scott Talbot --> Scott Talbott [Scott Talbot]

Although the user has provided CLT figures to support the change, they've not provided any kind of evidence to suggest that they are the same person. I don't think it's for the other users or reviewers to determine this, but the contributor should.

Aside from the issue of documentation, any CLT result today, documented or not, may not be valid in 6 months. That's an inherent issue with the CLT.

But wouldn't it be nice to see that the CLT numbers have changed?
If DaddyDVD/Martin had included the CLT numbers in his notes, one couldn't come back later and say that his contribution was wrong, just that the situation have changed

And why not include the numbers? It's not that hard. After all you're looking them up when you make the contribution. It's just a matter of copy and paste and the voters wouldn't have to look up the numbers themselves.

I can't see a single reason for not including the numbers.

To refer to Martin's statement as "idiotic" seems a bit out of place to me. There are numerous other ways to strengthen your counterargument in a milder manner.

You are correct, that was a little harsh.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
