North, you are the one that needs to learn how to act like an adult and a few others, I am not the one starts salivating , foaming at the mouth and lose all sense of civility at the very sight of a post from myself.
So your idea of an experiment is for Dr Pavlov to repeatedly kick a dog until the dog bites him. Leave the room, change, put on a disguise, then return to the room and continue kicking the dog? Then think he's learnt something when the dog bites him again???

"Main Entry: nancy boy Part of Speech: n Definition: a homosexual male or an effeminate man; also written nancy-boy, nancy Usage: derogatory slang" DUH!!! You are certainly not free of the same crime, hal. So put down your stones, you don't have the right. At least 75% of YOUR posts are highly offensive, hal. look to your own glass house FIRST. Hal as long as you persist in your own ill-behavior whil;e sanctioning the disgusting of some others, while trying to throw rocks at me, you are nothing more than an utter hypocrite. Donnie has more credibility than you do, Hal. Disengaging, this is a waste of time. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Why didn't I return...I get fed up with all the mud slinging. Oh, that's right....you can't! No, but you have been insulting and inflammatory in most every one of your posts. Would you like me to point them to you, hypocrite. Ken close this thread, it is ridiculous in the extreme. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I've just had a look at a few pages of Hal's posts and only one, maybe two posts could be considered insulting to the person he was talking to, however those seem to be in response to attacks. Although I may not always agree with what he says, I tend to find him to be quite helpful most of the time.
There are other users whose posts I've looked at & around 90% of them are insulting. |

You aren't me, amigo. There are far more of hal's psots that are insulting than you believe, but see thast is why i am loath to use the reputation system and prefer to deall with the person directly. As I said, at least 75% of hal's postings are insulting, inflammatory, denigrating, combative, argumentative, pompous or otherwise unneccessary.
For example, allow me to demonstrate Is this ridiculous discussion still going on?
It's amazing how we allow ourselves to get sucked into Skip's little game over and over. Totally unneccessary comment and inlammatory
At any rate, the consensus on this is clear...one against everyone else.
To the OP, please be sure to include that paragraph in the Overview. Inflammatory
So, you still have't answered my question.
How many times have you seen a contribution where the contributor is trying to add the credit block or fine print from the bottom of the back cover? Comabtive
But it's OK for you to say that you'd like to have an intelligent conversation...which means that nobody here is having an intelligent conversation....
You can dish it out but........ Argumentative, and insulting also denigrating
Quoting Dr Pavlov:
Quote: It adds NOTHING to the synopsis or the summary of the film.
This is simply not true!
Quoting Dr Pavlov:
Quote:
The credit block is not disallowed either are we to start including it, it is typed on the back cover as well. Should we include the fine print at the bottom, it is not disallowed.
And this is simply a red herring. The paragraph in question is in prose form and provides information about the film. Insulting
Please tell us, Skip, when was the last time you saw a contribution where someone was attempting to add the credit block or the fine print at the bottom of the cover?
Like I said, this is nothing but a red herring.
It seems abundantly clear that most, if not all (except you), people seem to be able to make the distinction quite easily. Argumentative, combative and insulting

No it wasn't Skip, since all my DVD's are R2 (still don't have a multi region player) all down to R2 profilers. Steve |

Steve Sorry to hear about your stay in hospital. Do you have any examples of these pre-overview areas? I was curious so looked through my own collection, but couldn't find a single cover set out in a similar way to this one. Please note, I'm not trying to argue anything (please stay calm!) I'm more curious about the situation, and maybe if there's a common link we can come up with some definitive inclusion or exclusion that can be added to the rules. |

An opening "Review" is fairly common, but this situation appears to be pretty rare. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

If it were me, I probably would have started the overview from below the image as well. The reason being, the image creates two distinct pieces of text. I have kept out of this thread because the tone went sideways really fast but, that's my 2 cents. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
