... but it sure seems like I am doing the exact same thing now as I did then...ignoring the part of the rule that prevents the entry of valid data. The fact that you have been violating this part of the rules for monthes doen't make you right. I know at least another rule that prevent the entry of valid data, but as this one pleases you, you apply it without remorse. An honest man, as I think you are, should not say "I apply the rules I agree with, and I violate those I disagree". | | | Images from movies |

In fact, I fully admit that it is not the right way to do it. In addition, it is one rule, not rules. The only rule I ignore, and it is the same rule most of the people in these forums are ignoring, is the one for crew credits. I have already explained why we ignore it, so I am not going to go into it again, but let's not pretend that I run around picking and choosing rules to follow as that simply isn't true. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I think it is against all the rule philosophy ... and that was not me who promoted that philosophy... Here is where you are misunderstanding. I didn't make a unilateral decision. This was a decision made by the forum community. Yes, there are a few dissenter but, if you read all the threads, you will find that most people agree with this option. This option was chosen because, to do it any other way, just doesn't make sense. If I were the only one who felt this way, I would keep them all local. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Your reasoning is the same that if you had wanted to have the result of your last presidential election asking their preferences in a republican meeting. About rules that doesn't make sense, I have much more shocking exemples. You cannot deny the fact that you have this attitude as a personal feeling about what is important or not. And your personal feeling may not be the most widespread among all users. Perhaps it is, but perhaps it is not, you just don't know, as I don't know. This ignorance just forbid us to violate rules. | | | Images from movies |

I have said all I wanted to say, several times, and see no point in saying it again. I'm out. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. But I do not criticize your opinion, which I respect, I criticize your acts : whatever is your opinion, you shouldn't violate that rule, as I avoid to do for rules I find inadequate. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |
