I don't think that's the sort of thing we want left on the profile. And Unicus, admit it - at those ages, you let them win don't you? |

Cecil Beaton was the Production Designer and has his own screen credit.
Thank you! Don't think I'm all on one side here. I have to say that this could have been handled better on both sides. Rick knows how Skip feels yet he punched those buttons anyway and sure enough, Skip reacted in his predictable way. Now that there is another reason for him to re-edit the profile, would ask Skip to 'correct' the quotes in the overview as well. | | | Dan |

Now that there is another reason for him to re-edit the profile, would ask Skip to 'correct' the quotes in the overview as well. You are right. Next time I'll vote YES on an incorrect submission and hope the submitter reads my request he change the wrong info. There is no way you can spin this to make it my fault. I did what we all do. What Skip himself doesand chastises us if we don't (one reason for the PM blocks on my end) When someone submits incorrect data, we vote NO. Once I did that The submission was pulled and resubmitted calling me out for my no vote. The worst part was I WAS NOT THE 1ST TO VOTE NO FOR THE INCORRECT OVERVIEW!!! It is only because of some bizarre thought that I am against everything Skip does and have ulterior motives for anything I say that goes against him that it escalated. If not it would have been pulled and re-submitted calling out the 1st person who pointed out the error. Even in this thread it was only after the overwhelming majority agreed with me that Skip decided (yes Skip decided) to let it known who it was. He, in his usual arrogant self, could not deal with the FACT that everyone who was posting was against what he did. He backed himself into this corner. I did NOT push him there. He could have taken his chances with the screeners. If he feels his contribution was correct then it would have been a no brainer, it would have been approved. But no. Nice spin Dan, but I'm not buying it. FWIW I hope you can get him to change the submission, although it well once again show that it was 100% personal as to why he wouldn't change it earlier. He can't admit it is wrong now when all day he has been claiming it was correct. EDIT: I just looked and found a submission where Skip voted NO so I guess it's still allowed. I personally do not threaten people with my comments. Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong. I should have threatened Skip when I voted like he does this submitter: skipnet50 : Please review the Rules and include your source for data, and it had better be the film but I bet it's not What happened to voting YES wirth a comment? The hypocrisy is unbelievable. I'm going back into hiding. There is nothing here that is worth the abuse one gets. Ken, this type of behavior from Skip and othes is chasing people away. I hope you see that and eventually figure out a way to deal with it. | | | Last edited: by lyonsden5 |

Every time I cross the almighty Skip it ends the same way.
I will follow the lead of others I know and simply avoid voting on his profiles and responding to his posts.
The abuse received when you disagree with him turns what is supposed to be a fun hobby into a hige headache. Really far from fun. I personally do not enjoy these discussions. Debates are fine, but attacks (back and forth from both parties...myself included) are not fun.
Again I hope Ken does something about it. While I can only speak for myself I know of others who are fed up with it as well. |

I'm not sure what we're being asked to do there so we don't push Skip's buttons. I think the only thing we can do is blindly vote 'yes' since all else is seen as button pushing and blackmail. Skip Yes, but...is choice allowed for this rule? If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks. It doesn't say If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then pick which ones you want and then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks. 3. You are attempting to impose your will on another user and that is WRONG PERIOD, Rick isn't the one that said If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks? That's an Invelos rule. Quote: 4. personally I view it as a violation of your votin privilege It's a violation to follow the rule that says If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks? But the rules say Conversely, voting "Yes" to a contribution which violates these Contribution Rules should also be avoided. Quote: 5. and i would hope Ken would take corrective action against the users involved. You want Ken to take corrective action against someone who read this rule If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks and saw you were making a choice and so they followed this voting directive Conversely, voting "Yes" to a contribution which violates these Contribution Rules should also be avoided? Quote:
There is nothing that says any user is required to make ANY specific change, if you want it...be my guest, It is directly said If words are highlighted in italic or bold on the case, then identify them with ‘single quotation’ marks. That makes it a requirement...if you check the Overview box in your contribution. Quote:

What happened to voting YES wirth a comment?
The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
I'm going back into hiding. There is nothing here that is worth the abuse one gets.
Ken, this type of behavior from Skip and othes is chasing people away. I hope you see that and eventually figure out a way to deal with it. I don't have to spin it. Your tactics are what they were. You tried and some others tried blackmail, that didn't work. So you brought it here knowing that was all you had to do and users would flock to it whether you were right or NOT. Irrelevant. Rick, I can't speak for other users I have repeatedly said that I monitor even my yes votes, for comments. the reason you blocked my PM's was because of my abuse you claim, you just don't like someone telling you that you are wrong, you aren't alone in that category you have friends that behave the same way. You also know that when you find what is a legitimate error I will fix it, see Cecil Beaton, and if I disagree with you I will debate the point YOUR way is not necessarily the right way, in fact it usually is not...as demonstrated by your tactics. If your position was well supported and documented you wouyldn't have to run to the forums now would you. I still think that was absolutely true James, you were trying impose upon your will upon me and I don't appreciate it, in fact i find it downright insulting. You call that a threat, Rick. The user did not provide ANY documentation, for his Contribution. It is, I believe a pre-release, or at best a partial listing. So the user does need to read the rules and I don't think his data originated with the film. Where's the threat? As I said Rick, it is your tactics that stink this place up, that is my opinion and if you don't like it; tough. I hope you guys are ready, I don't like the precedent you have set but there it is. I will vote in accordance with it, accurate AND complete. If you leave off a Commentary NO, if you leave off a Studio or Feature NO, if you don't use the Edition when you should NO. I don't want to be this tough, but you guys dictated it... so I will live with it and so will YOU. But you won't, Rick, since you very seldom Contribute. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! I will not comment on the contributor's behavior displayed in the contribution notes and this thread. It speaks for itself. Achim: I defy you to show me ANYWHERE in the Rules where it says data must be both complete and accurate. I support delineating titles in the fashion we have chosen. Once we get actual italics that will be a different story, but for the moment and you and I have discussed this privately before, it is titles and names that I focus to separate them from the balance of the Overview instead of just making them a mass of words with no meaning Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!
