| Posted: | | | | Quoting MB17: Quote: Windows 7 Ultimate OK. First you need to get to a command prompt. Either in you accessories folder OR cmd>enter in the search section of the Start Menu. You should get a "DOS box". Type cd\ enter . You should be at C:> Type ping space www.olivier-detry.be (not the word space, just leave the space). Watch your results. You should get a list of a DNS number and times. Usually 4 tries. If nothing is unusually long, it means you computer can reach Oliver's site. Run ping oliver-detry.be >ping.txt that SHOULD create a text file with results in it. Open the file and post the results here. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Traceroute: at C:>tracert oliver-detry.be >traceroute.txt . When posting these results, the first couple of sets of DNS numbers are YOUR internet address. XXX those numbers out. Leave the times, and number of hops. You don't want to compromise your ID or security on the net. Hopefully this information will be able to tell us something more about what is going on. Mainly if it's a network issue vs. a browser issue. |

| Posted: | | | | For non HTC users who don't want to use robocopy, I found Cheetah Sync for Files/Folders, in the android market. The free version gives you one sync job, so I set it up to sync the images folder, and it works pretty good. It takes a while to do the 1st one because it copies all the files, but from then on it only does changes. It does it over WiFi. For $1.49 US, it will do multiple sync jobs. I just copied the exported .db file by hand.
Also if you don't want the cover images to be included in the media scan on the device, I found all you have to do it put a file in the directory named ".nomedia", if you don't want to do it manually, there is an app called StudioKUMA .nomedia Manager. I excluded the entire droid_dvdp folder. |

| Posted: | | | | My Actual DB is 5MB.
The price to upgrade it to 100MB /year is more than $70.
I have to find another solution for this.
My actual forum is fluxbb. I'd like to transfer it on another free server, wihout loosing the content. any idea ? |

Oliver, In the US, we usually get something like 10 Gb to set up a site from our ISPs. Not the same in Europe? I'm guessing it's a actual storage issue vs. volume of data transfered issue (traffic)? | Posted: | | | | Thanx for your answer. I have engough web space, but my db is limited to 5MB It is the cheapest option I found at about $15 / year, including a domain name. I wanted to place the forum on my own site to avoid advertising, popup and keep control of everything. Maybe that if I have problem again, I'll go into free web hosting for the forums. Also let me wish you (correctly spelled this time ) a happy new year to all of you. Maybe you've seen oh the site that next beta will include a (better) search option (it already worked if you hard hardware search button, but was not like I wanted), and a sort by production year (asc or desc). I 've also worked on the plugin to make the export to a drive letter for those who cannot use adb (mainly tablets I think). I already works for the db, but I have to do it for covers. Questions to tablet owners : When you connect to pc, do you see it under computer as a drive letter, or like my old pocket pc as a device without letter ? Can you make a directory of the tablet in dos box with a command like 'dir e:\' or 'dir \\device...' or another way ? Olivier. |

| Posted: | | | | Just got a mail that db exceeded again and site in read only.
I'm searching a solution, 'cause I don't want to clear logs twice a day, and did not found how to disable them. |

| Posted: | | | | Olivier,
Your question to tablet owners:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab appears as a media device, without a drive letter. I can not access the tablet from a DOS box in any way, but drag and drop in windows, or synching apps from the tablet work perfectly. I use Cheetah Sync, which only syncs changes in the images. Connection is through USB or WiFi.
I think most tablet owners will be able to find a solution, to move both the database after creation, and the images from DVD Profiler. With the images, there may be too many since that does not reflect the choices made in creating the database, but that too is a minor issue. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Minor suggestion for the app:
By default include a ".nomedia" stub in the droid_dvdp map, to avoid having 15,000+ images in the Gallery on the Android device. | | | Hans |

If you can make your own DNS-settings, I could provide you with a gigabyte of space for whatever you want (including DB), you could use your domain or a subdomain, you would have a ftp account and access to the config panel.
