Not sure I fully understand the ramifications of the distinction between Team and Group dividers. Also not sure what purpose the distinction serves in the first place, and afraid it might create confusion for less experienced contributors. But I'll suspend my judgment until I learn more details.

Other than that: great news about the upcoming beta! Thanks for all that hard work, Ken!

Same here. I certainly hope that we get a detailed explanation about this before contributions from the beta are enabled, to prevent different users from applying them in different ways due to lack of rules/guidance on how to use them.

Based on what Ken said, this is how I understand it...confirmation would be nice though.

Episode Dividers: self explanatory, used for episode titles.

Group Dividers: used for group cast headings.

NYPD

Joe Smith  Officer Bob
Sam Niel    Det. Jones

Team Dividers: used for crew headings.

That is the way I understood it as well. And I would take it that you would use Episode Dividers for when there is 2 movies on 1 side of the disc as well.

Yea, 2 movies on a single side as well...don't know how I missed that.

At least I know I am not completely out in left field, or, if I am, I am not alone.

I believe I may combine the team/group dividers for now.  If a need is determined for more types, it will be easy to add.

How about disc dividers for use in TV parent profiles?

I understood it the same.  This will mean having to redo a whole lot of my crew entries.  but it will be worth it.

Thanks again.

Not sure.  Ken said, "Further, the group and team dividers "flow down" to the role listing and are shown in the credit info screen," but I don't know how that will work.

This seems to be headed for a serious case of data overload, in particular for crew. Of course it's nice to know who the caterer was that provided those great doughnuts on the second day of the shoot, but unless you live around the corner, what will you do with that? But seriously, I just watched a movie (still happens sometimes), where the end credits ran for over 10 minutes!

I sure hope partial updates will be possible, because even now, a correction in one field often screws up another.
