Quote: i was just wondering if there is a way to tell when a contribution is declined what it's declined for? I tried to contribute info on "Van Helsing" and it was declined. it had like 4 yes votes and one no. the no was something like "MC should be this" without documentation or a reason why it should be. is the reaon it was declined because the no voter has more clout than the contributor and the 4 yes voters? it kind of makes the whole "voting" system pretty wack. it reminds me of "Hell's Kitchen" where Gordon asks one chef to pick two chefs up for elimination, only to go and choose whoever he sees fit to eliminate. i wanna know who is DVDProfiler's Gordon Ramsay!
Ok, let me explain my reply to you. I was trying to tell you, that it is not about how many votes or who votes. It's about the things that the voters point out to the screeners. That's what I wrote in my post. I tried to answer your question. You didn't give a UPC or anything so I couldn't look at this profile. You asked if certain voters had more impact on the outcome and I tried to explain to you that this voting system is only there to help the screeners and the voters are there to assist if you want to say it like that. The reasons for the "no" votes are in my oppinion the most important part of the voting process. If a voter finds a valid reason to vote "no" the contribution should be declined. Your attitude towards my answer is really getting me annoyed, please just leave it alone.
@samuelrichardscott You are absolutely correct but it seems that brimac5477 just doesn't want to understand that I answered his question. this response was much better! if you would have asked for the upc i would have given it to you. but CharlieM gave me a perfect answer and told me where to find info. i would have given this response a green arrow untill "Your attitude towards my answer is really getting me annoyed, please just leave it alone" i really have let it go. i have no ill will towards you! i'm sure there will be something in the future i might need your help on. sorry dude if i pissed you off! p.s. i asked where to find MC in my contribution notes. sorry bud. |

The question is this, was the no vote correct in it's comment?
Did you look at the contribution and see if the no voter was correct?
By the way, I voted no. And my source was the dvd and the cover. Good point, and something I keep seeing. It is NOT the voter's responsibility to document anything, nor is it helpful. Voter comments do not become a part of the record, the only time they can be useful is IF the Contributor takes note of such documentation and includes it in his edited notes, ONLY then do they become a part of the record and ONLY themn would I be willing to perhaps change a no vote to a Yes vote, but simply based on some voter providing documentation, NEVER, such data is completely invalid except as I have noted.
