I have a few thread posts (like the one linked below) I updated now and then, and this isn't possible anymore. As Ken says, PM him and he should be able to free up any posts (or threads) you particularly feel should be editable. He has freed up the threads I asked for last night already so, from my experience, it's not a 'Send PM, wait 3 weeks' situation. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I fully support anyone's decision to leave this forum.
However, I don't see any gain in removing posts. Stand by your posts and let them stand, I say.
And I agree with some of the others - while I may not always agree with Giga there is absolutely no denying that he made a valuable contribution to both the forum and the online db. |

It doesn't matter if we deem this justified or not, it should ultimately be his decision. Just because something is technically possible it doesn't mean it should be done. Yes, but theres not a building full of surveillance tapes of the conversations. Tapes you have no control over, eventhough they were made by you. When one doesn't wish to participate in a public discussion, one shouldn't. For example, I don't have a facebook account or a myspace account because I think it's a stupid idea to tell every personal tale to everyone on the globe. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Not fully mind you, but there are certain things one cant post about anymore. | | | Last edited: by whispering |

| Posted: | | | | I also have written things that I have regretted later. But my regret usually comes within hours, days at the most. Why would I leave something online for months or years and suddenly decide to remove it?
Or to return to the topic: What could Giga Wizard have possibly said months ago that is now suddenly delete-worthy? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Cant speak for him, but how i understood it, he tolerated something for too long and suddenly it was too much. He desided to leave and cut all ties to the forums. Its easier to delete everything then to evaluate 3800+ posts. But IMHO whatever the reason, its hes choice. |

| Posted: | | | | I am sad to see him go, he was a nice member of the community. But I really do not know or see his reason to leave. Actually if I am passionate about a program, I would never leave, if someone offends me I simply ignore him. I send him a PM, dunno if he will read it tho. Also why is he deleting all his posts ? This is a very harsh step to leave after all this time, this cannot be forced by one argument over a contribution. So far this remains a mystery to me. If you do not come back Giga, farewell, I really liked you greetings Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com | | | Last edited: by DarklyNoon |

| Posted: | | | | I won't explain Giga's reason, I understand it and completely support it. I hope he will change his mind and not let the attitudes and behavior of a small handful of users run him or ayone else off, I've seen it coming for a very long time, there are many users who have had enough and some have already left, far more than i can take credit for. It's very sad and I am not at all happy about iT. He is my friend and I will miss him, just as I would miss any of you. But, in the end, it is his decision and all I can do is support it.

| Posted: | | | | Giga Wizard will be sorely missed. He has been a valuable contributor both to the forums and the database. He has helped countless newbies with technical problems and cleaned up a lot of the mess in the CLT....jeeeeeze...this sounds like a eulogy . Take care Giga. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I pmed GIGA and asked him if he left , cuz he is offended by someone and asked to not leave us. Only thing he replied, is that NOBODY offended him and that his profiling days are over. Sad He will be missed around here. Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |
