It may have been wishful thinking, but it seems it was good thinking.
@ Ken, nice change on that. It looks much better. Big green arrow for you. I think by wishful thinking he was referring to the fact that he gave himself four stars! | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

(wishful thinking) Wishful thinking aside, Martin, this was a great idea. It is a much cleaner presentation than the first iteration was. Hope you get the add'l stars, though. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. | Posted: | | | | Just one little question (I don't know, if that was discussed before): I got my first bad reputation - based on a "No" vote I gave on a contribution (probably) the last week.
As I know, that there was no "No-Vote" which included any kind of affront or was against the Contrib-Rules, I ask myself... hhhmmmm... is there any kind of protection against such "bad reputation votes"?

Greetz... :-) The only 'protection' against improper votes is Ken (or somebody) reviews the negative votes. If the reviewer feels the were not just the vote may be removed or even reversed and count against the submitter. Keep in mind they reviewer seems to use a very broad brush to determine if a negative vote was warranted. There have been many mentioned on these forums that most would not have rated negative yet were not reversed. If there is any way any one could see a post or comment as negative the vote will most likely stand. Another thing to keep in mind is an occasional negative vote will not hurt your reputation (per Ken). The system is set up to find a pattern of negative votes. That is when you are going to find yourself limited. I wouldn't take it personally. Most of those I have talked to have received at least one negative yet most of them have also earned a star. |
