That may very well be where he took the information from.

We'll never really know however because the original contributor didn't state this in his notes when he got the profile submitted.

Also, this profile has incorrect information.

Christy Tummond is actually credited as Christy Trummond.

Maybe someone should update this profile as well. Remove the bad data, include the group dividers, and then every profile but one will be entered in the same fashion. Eliminating the need for this topic to every be brought up again.

Thank-you sincerely to everyone who voted and voiced their opinions.

My apologies this topic, like so many on this board, veered wildly into weird territory. That was never my intention.

Since your image is a bit small to be able to tell and mine is in storage. It appears that for roles they might have used single quotes for nicknames, but for The Rasta it looks like double quotes. Am I seeing it right.

No, I meant the original contributor to MY profile. Not the one you posted.

No single quotes were used for any of the roles. They're all double quotes (including the actor Lester "Rasta" Speight, which according to the CLT, needs to have a credited as applied... nothing is simple...)

I don't accept your apology.

If you weren't forcing your motivations down our throats, this would have all been avoided.

Sorry, Skip, but your list just proves to me that it should be one whole column followed by hthe other...

Al Pacino as Tony D'Amato
Steve Raulerson as Sharks Chaplain
Cameron Diaz as Christina Pagniacci
Oliver Stone as Tug Kowalski TV Announcer #1
Dennis Quaid as Jack 'Cap' Rooney
Phil Latzman as Kevin Branson TV Announcer #2
James Woods as Dr. Harvey Mandrake
Barry Switzer as Dallas Announcer
Jamie Foxx as Willie Beamen

You can clearly see in the above section how the stars have been divided by the minor roles.

Also, if you look at this next section, how are you supposed to use group dividers on this ...

James Karen as Christina's Adviser
Kirsten Krueger as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Joanna Theobalds as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Gianni Russo as Christina's Adviser
Tonya Oliver as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Amy Dorris as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Duane Martin as Willie's Agent
Mary Fanaro as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Sarah Penman as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Clifton Davis as Mayor Tyrone Smalls
Kathy Davis Alzado as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Sacha Voski as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
John Daniel as Suitor in Christina's Box
Nikki Novak as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Michelle Bernard as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Terrell Owens as Himself
Lisa Ann Phillips as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Cat Akselrad as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Irving Fryar as Himself
Carin Abnathy as Player's Wife & Girlfriend
Joe Schmidt as Himself
Micah West as Madman's Wife
Ricky Watters as Himself

James:

You never read do you.  Let me quote myself for you, just for you, read it carefully

"Accuracy and consistency is also in the eye of the beholder. As I have explained and you seem to agree with left to right is the way the data apperas on screen, and is consistent with the appearance in the theaters, since we don't have the luxury of back up and freeze frame. OTOH Columns allows for entry of Groups. it's all in the viewpoint, and it is not covered under the Rules, and as I explained probably can't be, therefore it strictly comes down to a personal call. In short, I do it as I see it, left to right and if i look at the Online and see someone has done it by columns, so what. I then have one question, is the data accurate, I don't see something like Cameran Diez or Al Paceno, that would be the ONLY way I would Contribute my format, it's just not that big a deal. That's the point, my friend. The same holds for the other copies, if one is done left to right and one is done by columns...so what. Is the data correct, the CLT will function regardless of the format used, so I don't see an issue, quite frankly. All I am concerened about is is the data correct and as for the other copies, in the world, since I KNOW without a doubt that Cast and Crew data can be different elsewhere and across different versions of the same film, then I do not put myself in a position to even be concerned about them. Because if i make a "correction" to France or germany and they do have a different Cast and crew list then I am introducing an error based on bad data relative to THAT particular copy."

I even highlighted the salient points for you Checkmate.

This is the reason I actually changed my mind and decided to submit the changes to the online. That listing doesn't allow for the use of the group dividers. I've submitted the cast (as well as the other changes I've mentioned here) as the full left hand column followed by the full right hand column. Looks about 150% better and the info is still technically all correct, so I don't think there should be a problem with it.

I've hated the credits for this movie since first trying to audit it.
I think i ended up with a cross-over between left to right and top to bottom, just trying to make sense out it all as some went together, some didn't. If someone wants to check it out or try and use it as a base, the upc is 085391794523.
I'm open to critizm if I messed it up or praise if I got it right. I can't recall if I went all the way down then to the left, or kept going back and forth between groups. I just recall hating it and hoping to never see another credit role like it!

Add me to the list of Left first, then Right.

Ditto. This is not the first time for this. Simple way to think aboutit, in the theater you would read left to right. Why. Because you don't luxury of stopping the film when you get to the bottom andgoing back to read the second column. Simple

Do you even realize that you voted for option 1, but are the contributer for option 2 and are currently arguing for it?

I have to admit that this made me laugh.

Merrik said that he was working on the Canadian Blu-ray profile for Any Given Sunday and you give him the contribution notes, and tell him that you were the contributor, for the R1 US DVD release.  Wrong country and format.

It's been a LONG two days of moving so that might be why it struck me as funny.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
