That's my disappointment, indeed. That's just the thing. If all names would be entered in a 'culturally correct way', then linking would be virtually perfect. Since studios end credits are about as consistent as my grandma's nitting work (not at all), we have a 'broken' linking system. I understand why people want to keep cultural issues out of the scope of DVDP, but on the other hand I think it's the only way to solve the linking issues, aside from arbitrary choosing one common name (even CLT is quite arbitrary in that regard since it only takes into consideration the profiles that are in the online database, which in many cases is not representative of all credits available worldwide). Also, since the 'first' field means first name and 'last' field means last name, and the 'middle' field means middle name, we are already introducing cultural concepts into DVDP, namely western naming conventions. The only way to completely get rid of cultural notions would be to merge everything into one field 'name' ... but I personally don't prefer that option. | | | Blu-ray collection
