Like I said, I understand why that one line on the package makes you feel the way you do, but for me it doesn't change that it's a blu-ray release with a bonus dvd being marketed towards 'dvd people'. I think putting it in as a dvd causes issues with how bonus materials will need to be handled and possibly other problems. But like I said, I won't have that version. I am well aware of all the various releases and their differences for this title so it's not going to be a confusing issue to me like it will probably be for most casual consumers. But I know what I'll be getting so it won't affect me.

You are arguing just for the sake of arguing, Agrare, especially since you don't "have a dog in this hunt" because you aren't buying the DVD edtion.  Why do you care how we identify the DVD Combo Pack?

What's clear to me is that one edition is being marked as a DVD Combo Pack (as per Addicted's post).  That's all I need to know to consider this a DVD release.

Some of us aren't buying Blu-Ray yet, so for myself, I'd rather think of this as a DVD package.  It makes no sense at all to call it a Blu-Ray release.  If it is flagged as Blu-Ray, I would skip over it online because I filter out everything but DVDs when I search.

Well I would hope that filtering on DVD would give you blu-ray\dvd combos same as filtering on blu-ray would give you blu-ray dvd combos. I think if its done like that, and displayed so you can easily and readily identify it as both there's not a problem how its done.

no, with HD DVD you can select both DVD and Blu-ray. Ken said the new beta has the ability for a Blu-ray\DVD combo. I haven't played with the new beta yet but I image that this works similar to how HD DVD\DVD combo works now
