I'm not sure how important these things really are, so I just edit mine locally. But if I end up doing the entire cast/crew when I check the name, then I contribute. IMHO, these changes are HUGELY important, so please go ahead and do them. If everyone holds off on contributing changes like this, the state of the database will never improve. |

Even though she's a "behind the scenes" person i think it can looked at something like a stage name. She was known as Karen Baker developed some reputation in the business that way, got married and wanted people to make the connection to the prior name. She didn't want people to wonder who the %^*& is Karen Landers? Or she was like my mom and preferred to keep her maiden name alive and just shifted it to the middle. Just speculating. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | I think this is the case, tweeter, but I wouldn't call it a middle name, but still a last name. Only she's got two last names: Baker Landers (Baker-Landers). This way it shouldn't be a biggie to go back to Baker if she gets divorced. | | | Last edited: by Gemini76 |

| Posted: | | | | It is normal around here for women to change their maiden name to their legal middle name. It would not be considered 2 last names at all.
As for going back to baker if she divorces... if she decides to do so it would be just as simple. It really is no problem to legally change your name to ANYTHING you want. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I just wanted to take a second to thank Rogue.9 for starting these threads whenever he comes across variants in his local. Today I decided to update all my profiles for Karen Baker Landers as my local had three different variations of her (Karen M. Baker, Karen Baker and Karen Baker Landers). In checking the credits here against my local, I came across my profile for Eight Below which contained no crew what-so-ever, found that my copy of Beyond Borders needed quite a bit of editing (including new covers), that my copy of The Replacement Killers needed a buttload of editing including at least six common name connections and new covers, and that my copy for The Bourne Identity had vast amounts of incorrect and missing data and also needed about five common name connections. And I still have two more profiles for Karen M. Baker to edit (AFTER the hockey game... ) and will probably do audits on the other Karen Baker Landers profiles in my local. These threads (as started by anyone, but Rogue.9 seems to start the most) are INCREDIBLY helpful and hopefully if people take notice, can help a little bit in getting the cast/crew information moving towards the right direction! | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | I got 2 more for you: Karen Baker Landers - The Proposal (2009) and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
