| Posted: | | | | Ok, I got an interesting decline:
I submitted profiles for The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy that came with "The Bourne Files". Now both profiles were accepted yet the cover for Identity was declined while Supremacy was accepted. They're both the same exact image (because it's part of a box set). |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Skip, I went ahead and resubmitted the image. However, I noticed on the history page of contributions, it went something like this: Profile Contribution - Declined 9:57pm Image Contribution - Declined 9:57pm Profile Contribution - Accepted 9:57pm Just interesting to note. |

| Posted: | | | | I just had something that came to mind, If I find a release date on a "small press' DVD release on the releasing studios web page. Would this be considered a violation of the rules?
I have a number of these not in the bigger database, so I want to make sure I am doing it right when submitting.

Bobb I'm not sure what you mean here, I don't know what a "small press" DVD is, but if you're talking about getting release dates from the relevant studio's web site, then that is fine - that's what would be classed as a 2nd party source, so is fine to use. Just remember to quote the web site in your notes. |

You mean something different from http://www.invelos.com/MyProfiler.aspx?display=contributions ? If I remember rightly contribstatus showed you a summary of all the contributions, not just your own, so you could see how many Ken and Gerri had to still go through. |

Quote: Well someone has definably taken a dislike to my scans
It Came From Beneath The Sea [5-035822-173132] Forbidden Planet: 50th Anniversary Two-Disc Special Ed [7-321900-669122]
Both declined with all Yes votes The Forbidden Planet cover looked far too yellow, and I dont remember on the other one. Remember, that just having Yes votes, doesn't guarantee that it will be accepted. There are people who vote yes when it is the wrong UPC on a scan or has a watermark or is visibly smaller than the one that is already there.
-Gerri When I am voting on a new coverscan I take the actual cover of the shelf to see if it is more like the original... yellow or not, if the cover itself is yellow it is more corect to me... How can screeners be able to deside this, not having every DVD in the world???? In decissions of coverscans, the voters should have the last word. | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

Here's a little hint for you. We USE the Program, we don't own the Program. Like it or not the only vote that counts is Ken and Gerri. I only ask them what the problem was and then go from there, I would never presume to ummm .....

| Posted: | | | | To continue in the direction Skip has led us: very few businesses have succeeded as democracies. One thing which adds to the joy of using this program is that consumers can take part in the direction of software development by voting on submissions, discussing rules and features changes, and (especially) submitting all information in the database.
The Coles own the business, and, again, this business is not a democracy (but the owners listen). | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Skip I understand this Skip, but I was only stating that it is not possible to decide when you dont have the actual DVD! | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

| Posted: | | | | I just got one (on a split decision 2-1) because the character roles were apparently abbreviated eg; Det. Chief Insp. Jordan. WTF! There were no cast or crew listed in the submitted entry which I find really annoying and would reject on those grounds, but apparently that is quite satisfactory. I really cannot see the point of submitting a DVD without including any of the cast! Quite honestly I don't think I shall bother in future, and just add the info to my own database. I know toys, rattle, pram and all that | | | Last edited: by Harbottle |

| Posted: | | | | Oleops,
If the submitted scan looks to be correct with the extra yellow and that matches the cover, be sure to note that when you recontribute.
If you can find other sources online that matches your scan, providing links to that will boister your argument.
May also want to try viewing your scan on another computer just in case your screen is displaying too much yellow. |
