| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this was discussed at some point or not, I didn't see it. I've seen a number of "Negative Feedback Removed" emails show up in my box. There isn't really much of an explanation to it. What exactly is this? Does this mean someone rated a post of mine and it was removed? Or was it a reputation vote of mine that was rejected? I don't think I voted negatively in equal proportion to the number of emails I got. Any help would be great. Thanks. |

| Posted: | | | | The emails are generated when a negative feedback is removed. Currently there is some confusion as some users are selecting negative feedback for contribution notes that they don't agree with.
There isn't a specific number of positive votes needed to rise a level since repeat votes from the same user within a few days have less value. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | I guess I'm still confused as I didn't give 6 out of 8 reputation submissions a negative rating. At least five were positive yet I've received 6 emails. |

Can you consider removing this facility (rating) from contribution notes? More people look at contributions than look at these forums (I'm guessing). And if they are rating contributions then they don't understand the ratings purpose. It will solve a multitude of sins to just remove that ability. (or hide it..) | | | Paul |

I'm guessing that the the others which have been reversed are for the positive ratings since that isn't correct either. | | | Paul |

The vote page brings up a detailed explanation; the information is there to read for anyone who submits feedback. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Ken, I just wanted to comment that your posts in response to all the inquires about the reputation system have been very clear and concise in my eyes. I just think you have thought this through very thoroughly. Your answers here seem worded better than some of your responses to other threads in the forums. I admire you for having such a strong conviction for this new system. Maybe you should copyright and market it to other websites with forums when you get all of the tweaking done. Thank you, P.S. I am not looking for brownie points here just making a personal observation. | | | Brian |
