| Posted: | | | | As to the age, I will be using 17. It seems the most common case is a film which received an R rating being released in an Unrated form, so 17 would seem appropriate for the majority.
A future release may add local control for this, but for now a default is needed.
Note that by setting this at age 17, they are not hidden or restricted in any way by default - it only allows users to set the watchers' age restrictions and have these titles fall into a reasonable place. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | But that doesn't communicate anything, pete, that's the point. So I presume in reality Unrated =17+ and NR=17 and under. That's all well and good, but way too broad. I am not sure it resolves the issue of mixed data which i explored earlier. Pitch Black Unrated Edition, also contains the MPAA Rating of R and Not Rated as well. So iis Pitch Black Unrated or is it NR, ALL the data is present. The only difference is the Edition, so now the Edition is a part of the Rating?, that kind of reminds of the possessive argument. This a part of the reason I think the program is becoming far more complex that necessary, we are looking for answers where we shouldn't be, thus mixing in this case Edition Field with Rating field. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! There will be a "NR" rating and an "Unrated"
NR having no age Unrated at 17
but a megaviolent direct to video release which is not rated will get the same rating as Dóra. Right. Like the upcoming Death Race 2 which is Direct to Video. 1. Not all Direct to Video releases are unrated. I have many direct to video releases that went through the MPAA before they released it. 2. Ken said he may be adding something to a future release for this. I personally think Ken took the right first step for all this. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I have a feeling we will see issues which even I haven't though of. We will see. But it's Ken's call, I just hope that it's clear and doesn't add another level of confusion. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I guess it's a step in the right direction maybe, but I still see a lot of issues and lot of lack of clarity. It's up to you, Ken. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | That is the problem Donnie... a lot of us didn't feel it was a "winning team"... grouping everything in NR didn't work for a lot of us. | | | Pete |

In all honesty, while i understand what you are saying, I don't think you find this to be any sortn positive improvement...time will tell. Barney=Dora=Captain Kangaroo=Pitch Black=Death Race 2 conceivably, that doesn't sound informative to me. But i will keep my fingers crossed
