| Posted: | | | | I've noticed that, too.
Problem is, the viewer on the front page is simply an embedded Internet Explorer window.
I've no idea why IMDb looks so odd there. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | DJ, maybe a temporary problem, but Trivia isn't grabbed at the moment.
I also ran into the problem a few weeks ago, that I was close to 200000 entries in the local people cache and I received an error message and the cache was cut down to like 100000 entries. As I'm going through every profile and the cache is at 130000 entries now, I will watch it closely and will give you proper feedback should the error happen again. |

I have only 85,000 entries in my cache, I haven't notice anything. I also regularily backup my cache file for such an emergency. New version is available. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I store some sample webpages of IMDb's locally and when such change occurs, it's easier to detect what they changed. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

The new version also comes with a built-in back-up system. Upon start the existing cast.xml and crew.xml is backup'd. There will be up to 5 backup copies available, in case something like this happens again. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | DJ, one question: As I use the plugin on two separate computers working on different profiles (apparantly ), is it possible to combine the local cache databases to one which I then copy to the computer I currently work on? |

| Posted: | | | | In theory, yes.
the problem is if both caches contain the same IMDb Id but different data (due to different days/months/years where the data was last updated). Since an entry does not have a timestamp of its own, it would be impossible to determine which entry should win.
I always copy my cache file onto my USB thumb drive which also contains my DVDP database.
If I then want to use a second computer (which I regularily do) I sync the data onto the 2nd PC, use it and then sync it back to the thumb drive.
Personally, I use Beyond Compare for that (simple timestamp comparison and then sync) but WinMerge should also do. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

If you start using version 1.8.9.1 (or higher), each entry will get its own timestamp in the cache file. I'm working on a small add-on program that will allow you to then merge two cache files based on the timestamps. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Latest update is working like a charm As I'm entering both Trivia and Goofs into the Notes field, it would be great that - after pressing a newly assigned button - both information is copied together in one data field. This would save one press of a button and also scrolling to the bottom of the Notes field and inserting the Goofs after the Trivia data (or vise versa). |
