...don't know what I'm doing wrong

I don't either. Have you followed Blairs advice to show the Purchase-date-column? Does it show the desired dates? Does clicking on the column-header change the order from ascending to descending?
Bit of a wild shot but: make a full backup of your collection ( File -> Backup Database ), and then try a database-repair ( Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profiler Database )

Could it be the way you are reading the date? I know some non-US users were having a problem showing the date in their preferred format. The way it shows in my profiler is MM/DD/YYYY

Now we getting somewhere ... they are perfectly ordered ... if you use month/day/year
But from your disappointment in this order I conclude that you use day/month/year, so lets see if we can fix this.

Again, more a shot in the dark but I faintly remember something about dates (don't know which) not showing correct, the solution was: close Profiler, set you Windows System to the USA date format, open Profiler, close it and change the date format back.

cya, Mithi

PS ah, found the old thread and Gadgeteers solution
