And to make this even more complicate...there are discs that have Standard DVD and Digital Copy on the same disc.

I don't see that as an issue, Kulju. The only question regarding DCs is are they there, they are a Feature of the title or not, we don't and can't track them independently save by Manual profile for those so inclined.

But what do put in Disc Description field? DVD/Digital Copy?

I don't have a problem, that at least tells you where the DC is at.

...and for my unsolicited opion on Digital copies, I'm disappointed that those are being tracked at all really.  They are a purely transitory thing that will become quite useless about a year after the initial release.

Unless the whole concept is lost on me, once you've downloaded your DC, isn't the physical disk useless (assuming it's not one of these new Warner DVD/DC combo's)?

The new checkbox for Digital Copy as a Feature will only be telling that that was an available "feature" on release day.

A similar case exists with respect to BD Live.  In many cases, BD Live selection will just take you to the studio's website so you can peruse thier additional trailers, marketing, etc.  There is no guarantee that BD Live for a particular disk will actually have any content pertaining to the feature itself.

There are not always time limits or download limits on DC's. As for download limits, sometimes multiple licenses are allowed.

Thanks for that info. I've never had a personal reason to use a DC, so this was news to me. Just been figuring it would only work as long as the studio's website supported it. At least that's along the lines of the fine print I've seen on BD cases (or the sticker regarding Digital Copy).

First of all, it's Blu-ray (or Blu-ray Disc but that seems redundant), never BluRay.

For HD DVD combos the standard has always been:
Side A: Main Feature (HD DVD)
Side B: Main Feature (DVD)

No child profiles for the DVD side thankfully, but I guess that's technically allowed by the new rules now... <shrug>

Yeah that is something new that Warner has started doing I'm sure others will soon follow.

Probably we should do like we have in the past with some combinations. Example;

Main Feature (DVD) + Digital Copy

Just a suggestion.

This I think is already been the practice for the handful of these I have seen. it makes sense to me.

I'm just going by what I have seen in existing contributions, I have no issue with Main Feature (Blu-ray) if that is what the community wants.  However so far it seems most like Main Feature (BD).

BD is acceptable. Not BR though (I've seen that too).
