I've had a look at the Star Trek S2 and I would do it as you have - Scans of the slip cover with the slip cover box checked. As far as I can see that would be the correct way of doing it.

This is something that was never an issue until BD, deejay. But that is essentially what the Rules describe.

Example once again, Magnum PI with Thinpaks, those are checked are Thinpaks and of course the children get the Thinpak cover. Doing at as you describe is the inconsistency. The case gets appropriately described relative to the CHILDREN, which in this case means an HD case, this also means that the image must be modified to remove the Banner as the program will add it back in.

You are wanting totreat it differently because of something that has come about, that is new to the system. I am describing consistency with the Rules, those who voted NO on the basis of the Rules are correct to the data.

Skip

I am sorry but, from what I can tell, you are mixing apples and oranges.  The Magnum PI you are talking about has multiple Thinpaks in a slipCASE.  Because there are individual cases, scans of those individual covers are used and the slip box is not checked.  Star Trek, on the other hand, has a sinlge case inside a slipCOVER.  Because it is a single case, scans of the slipcase are used and the slip box is checked.

Did I not also talk about the ist Season of magnum which is a single Digipak in a Slip Case (Cover) not radically different from Star Trek in design. I believe I did, and the Online profiles show Digpak for each of the children, this is not true just of Magnum but of virtually any title which uses a Digipak, try Alien Quad for example. You got so wrappesd up in looking the orange, you completely missed the apple.

You may have talked about it in another post, but I didn't respond to that post.  I responded to the post I quoted in which you compare a slipcase set containing multiple Thinpaks to this release, which is a slipcover containing a single keep case.

Sounds like those other profiles are incorrect as well if you described them correctly

Well, the results are in. Users have voted and screeners have passed judgment:

These profiles have the slip cover scan accepted and the case type as "HD Keep Case with Slip Cover"
Lost Season 1 (UPC: 786936787665)
Lost Season 2 (UPC: 786936787696)
Lost Season 3 (UPC: 786936747348)
Lost Season 4 (UPC: 786936769432)

These profiles have the slip cover scan accepted but the case type as "HD Keep Case with Slip Cover" got denied, meaning they are still in the online as "HD Keep Case"
Star Trek TOS Season 1 (UPC: 097361424149)
Star Trek TOS Season 2 (UPC: 097360717648)

All of these sets have the exact same kind of packaging, so I'm afraid I wasn't able to create a uniform way of dealing with such sets ... Strikes me as weird that screeners would allow such blatant inconsistencies into the online, but that's not my call to make. I'll lock the profiles locally and everyone can decide for them selves which option they prefer and accept or decline updates as they see fit.

Agreed with everybody but Skip. Use a scan of the slipcover and check slipcover unless there are multiple package inside, in which case use them and don't check slip cover.

@ Taro:
So for the latter two we now have a scan of a cover that according to the profile information is not even supposed to exist. Talk about bizarre...  :

That's what I was thinking. Seems pretty illogical to me to use a slip cover scan but not check 'slip cover' in the Case Type section. If Mr. Spock knew about this, he would have an aneurism due to the sheer illogical nature of the matter.
