Skip If the userbase keeps getting damaged, we won't need to worry about anything happening to the database, damage or otherwise. | | | Last edited: by Ace_of_Sevens |

| Posted: | | | | Not to worry as we have a couple of users who seem to have made it their mission to update every single profile in the db. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. | Posted: | | | | Yeah, I know. I am already finding variants to my own data, but without the disc in hand I cannot verify it at this time, but I am making notes for future reference. As I said elsewhere, just because we CAN dio something does NOT mean that we SHOULD, and this is an issue that has been proven, but because they CAN, they WILL. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! | Posted: | | | | To get back on topic. Quoting tweeter: Quote: There is a profile update for Independence Day (Blu - UPC: 024543444237) that wants to add the THX and Featurette Feature selections. I am voting No because there are no Featurettes but am wondering about the THX as well.
There is nothing on the physical disc itself (no logo, none of the cute little commercials) and i had to look hard to find this logo (needed a magnifying glass) on the back cover.
So the question is...
Is THX Digitally Mastered equivalent to THX Certified (as defined in the Rules)? I tried the THX website but didn't get anything from that. From what I have gathered, the THX Digital master is a program that took over from the Laserdisc days. The transfer from film to dvd was supervised by THX labs to ensure that the audio and video were of acceptable quality standards for THX. Mind you, they took no active role in the artistic decisions made, just the transfer quality, including the quality of the stampers to make the disc. So if they used that logo, more than likely it should be THX certified. |
