It really isnt, in the DVDP world Adult equals Porn, no exceptions. Always been like that. Rating has nothing to do with it, as the adult tag overrides any rating thats given to the DVD. In UK R18 = Adult (at least in most cases), 18 is just that, 18 (but it can be Adult too -> softcore is rated 18 in UK as far as i can remember).

Correct, anything except hardcore material would get an 18 release & often distributors choose to cut material to avoid an R18 rating.
