I don't think it's a biggie when the credits is as credited in teh film, and with no "credited as". If however the credits has been edited to reflect the commoon name, then the "credited as" should be used.

It might be slightly worse if a credit should contain a BY, but doesn't. Because this would add this crew/cast member to the CLT, hence adding a faulty person to a profile.

Well, I will agree with you on this point.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

So...if I understand this....

T!M corrected a name in a profile to match the credits exactly. No Credited As; simply made it match the credits?!

And someone voted NO?

Surely it's against the rules to vote NO to a correction that matches the credits?

I might understand if there was an existing Credited As that T!M was removing to make the cast match the credits, without explanation for why he was doing it.

Aaahhh... I apparently misread or misunderstood the situation to being with. I was under the impression a Credited As was being applied or removed with simply a reason of "the CLT is incorrect" (which by the way, I understand is entirely TOO possible!  ), in which case yes, I still believe that to prove the CLT is incorrect, someone should make sure to post the information they've collected on it.

I didn't realize it was simply to make the credit exactly as credited with no Credited As applied and or necessary in the situation. In that case, then I absolutely would've voted yes.

My bad for my lack of reading comprehension!
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.
