A metalpack isn't actually a package for holding the discs, it's merely a wrapper if you will for the actual case, hence my view that it's a glorified slip case.

This seems to be a little bit degrading in my eyes. I'm talking about this packages. Take a look at "Products -> Metal2 -> First product"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

It's actually MetalPak™ which is an imitator of SteelBook™.  They are both trademarked names of similar products and are different from tin boxes (Band of Brothers comes in one).  It's sort of like Coke and Pepsi in my book or Lego and MegaBlocks.  To some they may seem the same, but to others completely different.  I think it's reasonable to include MetalPak™ as Steelbook (note that this is different from SteelBook™).  We don't distinguish between various manufacturers of plastic DVD or Blu-ray cases and I don't see how we can apply double standard to metal cases.

ps. I know people who collect SteelBook™ cases despise MetalPak™ or VIVA™ cases as I am a member of SteelBook Hunterz and also collect SteelBook™ cases.

Keyword is similar, xradman. Should we ask ken to add Metalpak? I don't know, I think CUSTOM is the operative choice. Steelbook because of the brand name carries with it a specific style which is NOT mimiced by MetalPak. The closest thing I found at their sight is a metal case containing a Keep Case, not at all designed like the SteelBooks. I think Custom case is a fine descriptive for them, it's what i would call them. There are also Cases designed by MetalPak which very clearly don't fit anything except Custom, do we have to start trying to describe EVERY possible case? God, I hope not, it reminds me that nobody wants to use Other.

Xradman, while I understand what you are saying i think Keep Case has become something of Generic Term over the years, kind of like Xerox, covering a whole family of similar products, the typical difference between the hub design. Some or loved, some are reviled, but I don't think we should go to these kind of extremes. KISS it, I presume we know what KISS means. We are beginning to approach a level of complexity for data and the database which will ultimately turn off most casual users.
