| | Posted: | | | | I did a title search and it seems that the individual profiles for each side don't actually exist yet in the online. That's probably why the program is insisting on re-adding the parent.
Best bet is to follow Chris's advice and create new profiles for the two sides. Then add your UPC parent profile last. |

| | Posted: | | | | Yes, if the children don't exist then they will need to be created. That would explain why you're only getting the parent (though not why the disc IDs aren't showing up for the parent, which is still quizzical).
Insert the disc
Add by Disc ID
Uncheck the box to download the profile
Create the profile.
Flip the disc, repeat.
You shouldn't need to delete the parent, if you still have it in your system.
Contribute the children
Once approved, add the children as boxset contents to the parent and contribute the revised parent.

I have recently done this with “American Graffiti: Drive In-Double Feature”
I looked for “American Graffiti” by name and found that there were disc Id’s. I previewed all discs Id’s and found one that matched the cover image. I then added this version of “American Graffiti.”
I followed the same procedure for “More American Graffiti.”
The 2nd approach: (CMAEDITOR gives a terrific explanation 1/14/9)
I have recently done this with “Dragonheart: 2 Legendary Tales”
The 1st approach did not work, so I look for the individual movies “Dragonheart,” and “Dragonheart: A New Begging” and downloaded the movies.
The 3rd approach:
If the above approaches don’t work, then you can add the discs manually. To do this you need to go to the “Add Inserted Disc,” and turn off the default “Download profile from Invelos.” Insert your disc A and add it manually, then flip the disc to disc B, and add it manually.
Go to www.imdb.com and print the cast and crew for each movie, and using this add this to the profiles for each movie. Then follow CMAEDITOR’s process.
Desired Completion:
Please add the children to your box sets as a contribution to Invelos.

From the Contribution Rules: "The authoritative source for information submitted should be the DVD itself. Please don't submit content from a third party database, and always verify the specifications printed on the cover. In both cases, errors abound, so always verify the information directly from the DVD whenever possible." and "Take Crew Credits from the film credits only; list names exactly as they are in the credits." and "For any film with standard credits, take the actor information from the end credits only, with names and roles listed exactly as they are in the credits and in exactly the same order credited. I didn't understand this rule under credits:
Do NOT use IMDb style Roman Numerals to distinguish between crew members or actors using the same name
I thought that IMDB was therefore an acceptable source.

Tiamat Best Bet: DONT USE IMDB at all for the CREDITS ALways use the DVD that way if somebody disputes it all you have to do is give a time stamp and ask them to view it for themselves, can't argue with what is in the film credits as opposed to what somebody says is in the credits. Steve |

Tiamat Generally, not by themselves. They are also third party databases and so aren't allowed as sole sources of information. However if the data isn't available on the DVD itself, and you can find a couple of these sites to agree (preferably three of them), then you are allowed to list them as references to the data you're adding. In this situation IMDB is also allowed - you're just not allowed to use IMDB by itself. Edit: my apologies I misread your question. In the case of overviews they really need to come from the back cover, or a booklet inside, or in some cases an official website. Everything else is copyrighted material so can't be used. If you can't find one in those places I mention, you are allowed to write your own. From the rules: "When there is no overview on the case, add a simple, self-written overview of 1-2 paragraphs. Do not include spoilers and always match the overview language to the profile's locality." | | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
