Are we all so blind as to not see what is actually going on here? Could it be that the "Tin Foil Hat" is covering all our eyes?
Note: "Tin Foil Hat" needs both caps and quotes to have its full power to save us from the Dark Ones!
pdf "TFH"'s have been a recent phenomenon here. This has been going on for years! | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

Can someone please, please explain to me why we, as a community, do this to ourselves over and over and over again? I have no idea why... Especially since he said on page 13(?) that he is not listening to anyone of you/us. BTW, I counted "them": 1. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Skip We do not need a new field for this. There's nothing that needs to be dealt with.
I believe it was northbloke that said it best somewhere in one of these threads where he explained the quotes merely mean "this is the title". Nothing more.
Putting quotes around every title that shows them on-screen would make the program ridiculous. Creating a new field so that we could show the same data both with and without quotes is even more ridiculous. Hallelujah!!! Thank-you James - common sense and program useability remains. This is exactly how I feel about it. | | | |

But once again Skip will say that the database should be his way and all the rest of us should change our local copy. Looks like we will need a rule change if we want to get rid of the quotes around titles. |

Looks like we will need a rule change if we want to get rid of the quotes around titles. I would love to know 'why' it was declined. Would you be willing to PM Gerri and see if she can shed some light on it? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I declined the contribution because as of right now, it is against the rules. The consensus appears to be that the rules should be updated. The rules will be updated and then the title can be changed.
