Oh my...thank you everyone!
I do hope that I earned positive reputation star and not <gasp> the other. Well Kathy you definitely earned it! And I'm pretty sure that 99,75% of all users here earn a positive reputation as well! You Kathy, made the exemplary beginning! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | I don't know if I missed this somewhere in this thread or not, but I found something cool. If you click on My Profiler, then Reputation on the side, you should see a link that will show you exactly which post have received feedback in the past 30 days. It's on a yellow background and right above the description of the various levels. Very nice! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Confirmed, maybe bad feedbacks have a red background Seems to be if we have any kind of feedback, that we have a star right beside our name in the User Profile! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

I see a star on mine (just an outline really) and a gold star on Cathy, but I'm not seeing a star on other people. Including you. Even after giving you a positive vote for pointing out something cool. So I'm not sure what purpose it serves. But I'd guess it's to show your current rating. We can probably see Kathy because her's is positive. But I don't think we can see anything that's not positive on another user including neutral. Just like in the forums. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. | | | Last edited: by Mark Harrison |

| Posted: | | | | Ken, Can you find a way to make this work at home as well? I've been working my butt off around the house today, but my rating from my wife doesn't seem to have changed at all. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Looking at the star ratings for negative feedback, it may be hard to distinguish how bad is bad since the circle/slash is simply less transparent. Maybe different colors? |

| Posted: | | | | The negative ratings show only for you, not to others. Colors might not be a bad idea, but you can always check My Profiler->Reputation to see the current level highlighted. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Quote: one idea for an enhancement which could be added is that you are required to add a reason when you give negative feedback (similar to when you vote against a profile)
IMHO you a already required to add a reason for negative feedback. In the My Profiler section/Reputation you can read above: "..In addition to monitoring the forums, administrators will monitor rating submissions. Negative ratings wihout cause will be removed and may result in submitter rating reduction and/or rating permission removal." I would interpret this general for all kind of feedbacks?! But there is nowhere to add a comment as regards why you have submitted a negative rating. There wasn't a place for a positive rating (and since I hadn't tried a negative rating I tried this just now). What I was looking for was a single comment line to help Ken (or whoever has to monitor the ratings). And this would more quickly show spurious posts. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |
