| Posted: | | | | Quoting the negative vote screen: Quote: Please note that negative feedback must be warranted, based on the message below. Invelos administrators monitor feedback and may elect to remove or reverse this feedback. Your own user reputation score, and the permission to rate others, depend on accurate feedback, so please ensure this post warrants negative feedback before continuing. Could we get some direction on when a post warrants negative feedback from the perspective of Invelos administrators? Is it only for violation of the forum rules or can it also include posts viewed by the voter as unhelpful, rude, attacking, insulting, etc? None of these are explicitly prohibited by the forum rules unless they rise to the level of "repeated harassment of another member." Since one's own score can be adversely affected by voting against a post that doesn't warrant negative feedback, it would help to know where the boundaries are. It would also be helpful to have a list of votes cast (much like the list of subscribed threads) so that one could easily locate them if there's cause to remove a vote after an edit, for example. After I cast 4 positive votes, I couldn't remember which posts I had voted for. You do see an icon on a post for which you've voted, but if you've left the thread, you might not remember which threads contain voted posts. Getting old. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | I like the fact that there's no longer an edit button on every post. It was annoying accidentally clicking on it and getting the DENIED message.
Looks like the expiration on voting is from the post date AND time, nice touch.
I can understand that going to another page after casting a vote could be viewed as an annoyance and that's probably a good thing as it'll keep down frivious voting even if we have only so many that we can give. |

| Posted: | | | | If you vote for me, I promise to bring your favorite TV shows out from the dust of the past and released out on DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray. With your vote, I'll bring truth, justice, and corrections to the IMDb and see that every new contributor receives proper training. With YOUR vote, I can make a difference in the movie community! |

Well, if "repeated harassment of another member" is a "bannable" offense, I suppose that "harassment of another member" is a behavior that should warrant negative feedback. | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | one idea for an enhancement which could be added is that you are required to add a reason when you give negative feedback (similar to when you vote against a profile) | | | Paul |

In the My Profiler section/Reputation you can read above: "..In addition to monitoring the forums, administrators will monitor rating submissions. Negative ratings wihout cause will be removed and may result in submitter rating reduction and/or rating permission removal." I would interpret this general for all kind of feedbacks?! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Hallo Ken, will the bad indicators be visible to the public as well? IMHO this rating system could initiate a kind of competition in the community?! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture." |
