And a quick test to see if Ken missed it, none of us normal folks can use it either. Probably be a good idea to strip it from quote replies. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

When I tried, to make my comment about the new tag, I got sent to the main page when I hit submit. Probably better this way though...for a minute there I thought my posting privileges had been submitted and I couldn't figure out why. I know I am bad, but I didn't think I was that bad. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | If I would set my PS3 on japanese as default language should I remove the other audiotracks (or add them to the easter eggs instead ) from the profiler cause I cant choose the other languages ? Sounds stupid yes ? Cause it is stupid, an audiotrack is no easteregg!
When I contribute a new DVD profile I'll usually check the audiotracks with a special software to see all audiotracks and audioformats on the disc which are not on the cover.
Everyone can choose the language setting on his player as he wants, and thats why all languages which are on the disc should be listed in the Profiler too (not as an easteregg!)
PS: I set my player(s) menu languages to english and not german.

That doesnt happen on all DVDs with multiple DVD Menus when u have set a default language | | | Last edited: by nimrod85 |

| Posted: | | | | You want to add audio tracks that are not selectable when the player is set for the same locality as the profile? We've been around that block. Here's Ken's take on that. You want to add tracks only visible when the player is set to a certain locality then create a profile to match the locality of the player. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

That doesnt happen on all DVDs with multiple DVD Menus when u have set a default language That's exactly what you would do if you were making a Japan-locality profile in Japanese. I think the assumption is your player is set to the same language as the overview is written in. |

I dont think so! That isn't the point. As Tweeter has pointed out, Ken has addressed this issue and, like it or not, that is what we have to abide by. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I dont think so! The locality should listed as wherever it came from. The Matrix is only like this because the same disc was used in Japan. |

| Posted: | | | | Well,
I got a region free Blu-Ray player and it always shows me all available audio tracks. So how do we handle this ?
If I would submit a new profile for such a title I would of course enter the japanese audio, cuz it is there on my player, without having to change a thing, as it is always region free.

Ken Cole: "For the purposes of this, a "standard player" is one regionally coded to the profile's locality, set to the locality's default language." So you either have to set your player accordingly before contributing, or you have to live with the fact that later contributions might rightfully remove some of the content. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
