| Posted: | | | | To all the people who have kept my contribution number small, during our stint here at Invelos, a great big THANK YOU!!! I used to contribute a lot over at IVS. Since we moved over here, every time I try and contribute something, another user has beat me to the punch. As an example, I picked up the new TNG movies Blu-ray set on Tuesday morning...the day they are released here in the states. After I entered the UPC I found that tweeter had already submitted the proper information for that profile. On top of that, he had submitted child profiles for each film. So, a big thanks to him and everyone else who is working hard to keep the main db, at least here in R1 land, up to date. p.s. Remember this is a positive thread. Please keep the nastiness out. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | I am glad you made this thread, friendlyness is always welcome, do not worry, contributions are going strong, actually I think there are more and more contributions coming, also from people I never saw here in the forums On the other hand its sad that some old time mebers left during the last weeks. With the "big movies" I am also never the first to enter them, someone always is submitting them before me . Often I am able to do some additions tho. But I am often lucky with "not so well known movies", to be the first one to enter them Right now I am doing alot of scans and summaries cheers Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |

| Posted: | | | | I agree... I am seeing a lot of stuff already quickly taken care of as well. And of course a lot of us know that a while back ago Ken commented on how the contributions were at a all-time high... including the quality of the contributions! Despite how things goes in this forum I am seeing a lot of great contributions! Especially compared to the Intervocative days. Big Thanks to our contributors! | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Great thread, thanks. I'm visiting the forum just since a short while, but i saw so much personnel argueing, that the real topics often get lost. Something like DVD Profiler (and this forum) needs it's members, so that we should work together and not against us. Discussing is good, argueing not. Also from my side thanks to all contributors. The work you do, i don't have to do. |

| Posted: | | | | Great observation, MM. I was never a very active contributor for mainly the same reason as you mention -- when I got around to making a contribution, someone else had gotten there first. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? | Posted: | | | | We don't have this chance so much for the France and Belgium locality but it's not so bad. When I have time to add my new buys and if the profile doesn't exist or isn't complete I do it but I have quite often an already existing profile for them so it's better than few months/years ago.
Of course generally the profiles aren't so complete than Z1 but it's a good beginning... | | | Regards Cyrille |

| Posted: | | | | Well put Unicus. I've seen the same thing, and since all of my DVDs were packed for moving most of the summer, I wasn't able to even update existing profiles. So I'll throw in my thanks and to everyone who is helping to improve the database. | | | Kevin |

Of course generally the profiles aren't so complete than Z1 but it's a good beginning... But then again, this line is absolutely classic: "Alll info is taken over from an already exiting R... profile." That all this info is incorrect doesn't seem to matter. |

| Posted: | | | | Nice post, TheMadMartian and I'd like to join you in giving thanks to all the people that contribute. Thanks to you, I can advance my database much, much faster than if I had to do it all by my lone self.
Even though I've also been affected by negativety in the forums, I will continue to contribute since basically that is the best way to return the favor to the other contributors.
Also, in the past I let some negative comments get to me too personally and I responded with negative comments as well. So I'd like to take the opportunity to apologize for having contributed also to the negative atmosphere here, instead of being the bigger man and let it go. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

Taro, there are few of us who would be honest if we said we never posted negative, even cruel, comments. I know I can't make that claim -- and wouldn't even try. I hope I can be as forthcoming with apologies as you are when I misbehave (as I probably will from time to time). | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges.
