When writing the scripts, he would see the show play out in his head and then he would write down what was said and what was done. | | Posted: | | | | One shouldn't watch "In the Beginning" before episode 4x09 "Atonement" because it contains a lot of spoilers, especially for the early seasons.
I'd watch
The Gathering (Pilot)
Season 1-5
In the Beginning
Thirdspace
River of Souls
A Call to Arms (backdoor-pilot to Crusade)
Crusade
Legend of the Rangers
Lost Tales
And a personal recommendation: One should watch B5 at least twice, because only then one will find most of the hints that were layed out in the early episodes. | | | Karsten

Still a good series but the CGI now looks to be quite amateurish compared to modern series. I remember that I was impressed with it at the time. Edit: I've seen pretty much all of the original series (including "The Gathering") & about half of Crusade when originally broadcast just got the various films yet to see. Quote:

(I'm about to start on the 4th season of the X-files, also never watched that before, and it's visually outdated in all sorts of ways. Thoroughly enjoying it though  ) And the idea of multiple layers and ongoing subplots sounds very appealing to me! |

| | Posted: | | | | The CGI sequences were originally rendered in 4:3 NTSC format due to the expenses in rendering with the understanding that costs for re-rendering it later for HiDef would be significantly cheaper.
Unfortunately, the originals were lost so they were forced to remaster the 4:3 NTSC format which is why there is a clear change in quality between live action video (which was filmed in HiDef) and CGI video.
However, they did have the foresight to frame the CGI so that the top & bottom could be removed without ruining the frame. | | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
