Had two recent contributions declined.
One with a 9-1 vote.

Planet of the Apes: The Legacy Collection
Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection

Yes, over the past month or so I've seen many contributions go through that corrected the title to put the entire thing that appears on the cover in the title field for box sets containing several films.

So either all these contributions that moved or updated the title to include "Collection" names are wrong or the screening process is not following the rules.

For the Planet of the Apes set, I think it's rather clear that it's a collection of all Planet of the Apes films and that the 'The Legacy Collection' part is in regards to all the films in the set and thus part of the title.
It's not a 'Legacy Collection' of just the first Planet of the Apes film, as in different versions of that one films and thus 'The Legacy Collection' is a description of that one film and thus an Edition of that film

And the decline of the Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection update is even dumber.
There is NO film at all called 'Universal Classic Monsters', thus it is impossible for an Edition to be used since that is not a film, but a box set.

Even the rules use a collection of films as an example to include it all in the title section.
Alien Quadrilogy.

It doesn't say to put only Alien in the title section and to put Quadrilogy in the Edition section. Because that is the title of the entire set/collection. Quadrilogy isn't an Edition of just one film (as in Alien).

And the word Edition does not appear at all in the Box Set rules section.
Surely if an Edition was to be entered in Box Set profiles it would have been put in the Box Set rules.

But it wasn't, so one could assume that what we see on the cover is to be entered completely in the Title section.

Or the rules need to be updated, (like that'll ever happen anytime soon.)

Well enough of the rant, just wanted to mention these two titles so if anyone that owns them wants to update the title they can or if the don't, they won't.

Or if someone else wants to try to submit them again they can, but I give up on these two profiles.

FYI: If others want to chime in with their opinions they can, but this original post will be all I will say about this.

I'm sure I voted yes to your Universal Classic Monsters update.  (Just double-checked, and I don't own it - mine's the complete set, not the essential one.  But I would have voted yes.)

I'm not overly bothered about titles.  If I don't like what other people call them, I'll just amend the name locally and lock it.  Unless someone's going for a really stupid title (personally, I think the Edition field is utterly pointless and annoying anyway) I'll usually just vote yes because I can't be bothered checking which obscure rule is being violated or not.

That said, my priority here is cast information; if I find that's wrong it irritates the hell out of me, so I can appreciate why you'd feel the same way about titles if that's your thing.

This should come as no surprise to anyone who is paying attention.

It depends. One could argue for example, since there are several different collections of the Planet of the Apes, that it can belong to the edition field. Not everything on the cover has to be the title. But I don't really care one way or the other, I set my titles and lock them. It's not like we have cast and crew in box set parents that depend on the correct title anyway so I'd say it's irrelevant for any practical purposes how you care to enter it.
